“ I’m from out of state and me and my family were hungry from driving 3 hrs straight. So we were craving Chinese and we were skimming through Ocala and my mom SLAMMED on the breaks once she saw Shanghai Chinese. And turned in but the place seemed kinda sketchy like the food was going to be like 3/10. But to my amazement everything was really good. The service could not be any more friendlier and they brought out the food warm and fresh and ready to eat. We dined in so they asked if we needed more or if we were okay with the food. By the time we were done we tipped them nicely and they even gave us EXCLUSIVE CHINESE RICE SNACKS!!! I would come here again if I lived closer. ”

I called and let them know even though it was my fault for not knowing fully what I was ordering (due to language barrier) , they still replaced the order for me and respectfully educated me on what to order next time if I wanted the same thing. “ We have ordered from Shang Hai on multiple occasions now. Although not perfect and personal preferences will differ. We found them to be one of the better if not the best Chinese take out restaurants we’ve tried in the area. The food portions are decent. The food is very good. The prices are decent. I cannot think of much more that I need. Shang Hai’s food so far has fit the bill for us. So I recommend trying them. I rarely give five stars unless the subject is outstanding and above others in their field. So although I thought about it. I gave Shang Hai four stars, because they are very good. But not quite perfect to the point of head and shoulders above the rest. But you can consider it 4.5 stars. And I figure that’s quite good. ”

“ Good to go Chinese fast food with quality ingredients. Like most fast food restaurants they tend to put too much sauce on their entrees, so I ask for light sauce or sauces on the side. They're very accommodating with special requests. We had several appetizers and entrees, all was very delicious. Served portions would satisfy any large appetite. Prices are very reasonable. Pre-packaged condiments available as needed. ”
